Celebrating Digital Inclusion Week: Comcast and Dress for Success Oregon Empower Job Seekers Through Technology

At Comcast, we believe that access to technology and digital skills is essential for advancing economic mobility.  During Digital Inclusion Week, we’re proud to highlight our long-standing partnership with Dress for Success Oregon (DFSO)—an organization dedicated to helping individuals gain meaningful, life-changing employment.

Digital Inclusion Week Activities

To celebrate Digital Inclusion Week, DFSO is hosting 30-minute virtual career coaching sessions on October 7 and 8, giving job seekers personalized guidance to help them take the next step toward employment.

Comcast Technology Lab & Career Center

For several years, Comcast has supported the Comcast Technology Lab & Career Center at DFSO, a space designed to break down barriers to employment by providing hands-on digital training and personalized support. Through one-on-one coaching and classroom-style workshops, clients learn critical skills for today’s job market, including:

• Building resumes and prepping for interviews
• Creating LinkedIn profiles and personal websites
• Financial literacy and career planning
• Upskilling through digital tools and resources

These services help job seekers gain confidence and the technical know-how to compete in an increasingly digital economy. Each year, the lab supports over 900 individuals, equipping them with tools to transform their futures.

Looking Ahead: A New Lift Zone

In December, DFSO will undergo a remodel that will enhance its ability to serve clients. As part of this upgrade, the new space will be lit up as a Comcast Lift Zone, providing free, robust WiFi to support expanded programming and services. This connectivity will ensure that clients can access online training, virtual interviews, and digital resources—furthering our shared mission to close the digital divide.
