Celebrating Digital Inclusion Week: Latino Network’s Lift Zones Empower Communities

During Digital Inclusion Week 2025, we’re proud to spotlight our longstanding partnership with Latino Network, an organization dedicated to empowering our local communities across Oregon.

La Plaza Esperanza: A Hub for Connection and Growth

Earlier this year, we celebrated the grand opening of La Plaza Esperanza, a vibrant community space in the Rockwood community where Latino Network provides essential services and programming. As part of our commitment to digital inclusion, Comcast launched a Lift Zone at La Plaza Esperanza, offering free, high-speed WiFi to help families, students, and job seekers stay connected. 

The partnership also included funding for new technology, such as a state-of-the-art AV conferencing system, new Chromebooks and iPads, mobile charging carts and more. This Lift Zone has become a cornerstone for digital skills workshops, youth empowerment programs and workforce development programs—creating pathways to success for hundreds of community members.

Plaza 205: Expanding Access and Collaboration

Coming soon, Latino Network will open its second Lift Zone at Plaza 205, further expanding access to technology and connectivity. This new site will support a variety of workshops and digital skills programming, and Comcast has also invested in new technology and AV conferencing equipment at this Lift Zone so Latino Network’s sites can collaborate virtually.

With more than 600 people expected to access programs at Plaza 205 each year, this Lift Zone will play a critical role in bridging the digital divide and fostering community connection.
