Oregon International Air Show

The Oregon International Air Show in Hillsboro is a thrilling annual event that showcases breathtaking aerial performances from military and civilian pilots. Held at the Hillsboro Airport, the air show features high-speed jet demonstrations, aerobatic stunts, and static aircraft displays, drawing aviation enthusiasts from across the Pacific Northwest.

Comcast has provided connectivity for the Oregon International Air Show for several years. In the weeks leading up to the show, we install and deploy the fiber optic, network, and coax infrastructure needed to provide the best connectivity to everyone.

Our Comcast network supports event vendors, operations, ticketing, security, and public attendees with Wi-Fi access so everyone can watch the action and post on social media. Comcast Business powers even the most high-traffic areas at the event and ensures everyone has the connectivity they need in Hillsboro.

Oregon Jamboree

The Oregon Jamboree is a premier three-day country music festival held annually in Sweet Home. Featuring two stages and over 25 performances, the festival brings together top country artists and rising stars for an unforgettable weekend of live music. Beyond the concerts, attendees can enjoy camping, local food vendors, and family-friendly activities, making it a true summer celebration.

Comcast is proud to be at the heart of this experience, providing essential Wi-Fi services for attendees, staff, vendors, and performers alike. Long before the first note rings out, Comcast technicians are hard at work preparing for the event. Months in advance, meticulous planning begins to ensure that the infrastructure can support the massive influx of users and data demands. This includes deploying essential fiber optic cables needed to connect to our wired and wireless network, throughout the venue, ensuring robust connectivity across the board.

Portland Classic

The Portland Classic is the longest-running event on the LPGA Tour, showcasing top female golfers in a prestigious tournament held annually in Portland, Oregon. Established in 1972, the event has a rich history of competitive play and has seen legendary champions grace its fairways. Hosted at Columbia Edgewater Country Club, the tournament features a 72-hole stroke play format with a substantial prize fund, attracting elite players from around the world.

Comcast technicians get to work well before the tournament. Months before the event we are planning. Weeks before the event we are installing, working for several hours deploying the fiber optic, network, and coax infrastructure required to make sure everyone can have the ideal connectivity at the club for the entire event. The golfers also rely on our connectivity while they’re competing to be at their best. Needless, to say, it’s quite a bit of work on our end.

Mt. Angel Oktoberfest

Mt. Angel Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the Pacific Northwest, bringing a touch of Bavaria to the charming town of Mt. Angel, Oregon. Held annually in September, this four-day celebration features traditional German music, dancing, and authentic cuisine, along with lively biergartens serving a variety of local and imported brews. Visitors can enjoy wiener dog races, street dances, arts and crafts, and a festive parade, all set against the backdrop of Mt. Angel’s rich German heritage.

The festival is enhanced by Comcast’s generous initiative to provide free Wi-Fi to attendees and vendors.
