Remember live music? Dancing? Socializing? The Decemberists?
So do we! And we’re bringing it back (safely) this Thursday, January 21st with a celebration of Black and Indigenous songs and stories. Comcast is partnering with the Black Resilience Fund and Chúush Fund to put on a virtual concert.
Join us on Jan. 21, 2021 at 6:00PM PST to celebrate the shared culture and collective resilience of Black and Indigenous communities. Enjoy performances from the comfort of your couch, or turn your living room carpet into a dancefloor. This event will show solidarity with Black and Indigenous neighbors and serve as a powerful call to action for tangible, immediate support.
“As one of the first corporate donors to Brown Hope’s Black Resilience Fund, Comcast is proud to continue our support by presenting ‘A New Oregon,’” said Rebecca Brown, director of Community Impact for Comcast Oregon/SW Washington. “We’re grateful to have the opportunity to stand in solidarity with those that have long faced systematic injustices and amplify the voices of our community members.”
Tickets (in the form of $5, $10 and $20 donations that will directly benefit both funds) are available here.
