Approximately 95% of Comcast Network Restored Following Last Week’s Power Outages

Xfinity team works in storm

The weather and damage were severe, but we are pleased to report that approximately 95% of our network is now restored in Oregon and Southwest Washington, with more customers reconnected every minute. We aim to get the remainder of our customers back online by this Friday, as our technicians regain access to necessary parts of our network.

Less than 5% of our customers in the impacted area are without internet and video service as we wait for commercial electricity that powers our network to be restored. Once the network power is back on and the utility companies clear the area, we can begin our repairs – pending our technicians have safe access to damaged sites and poles.

Our operations and network technicians work tirelessly to reconnect all our customers and won’t stop until every customer is back up and running. We know service interruptions can be disruptive, and we will offer proactive credits to customers who have experienced a prolonged service interruption following power restoration.
